The watch currently on my bench, and introduced in the preceding video, is a 7 jewel, 18 size Waltham. It has an 1883 movement. Not the fanciest watch out there, but as I’ve been disassembling the movement I’ve found that it seems to be in pretty good condition. The chief issue is one of dirt.

Coming up, a video showing how badly set the mainspring is. It’s going to be replaced in short order. Once cleaned and reassembled, I must pursue regulating the watch and polishing up the case nicely. I may sell it, or I may keep it. I haven’t entirely decided.
