Congrats, Aimeri!

Over at my favourite blog, Aimeri has just begun working with watches . Congrats! They’re a lot of fun. I guess I’m going to have to order an ETA quartz movement to play with too, so far I’ve been working on mostly 18 size american watches.

  1. Thanks for your kind message. The ETA quartz movement was actually a lot of fun to take apart. The semi-vintage (read it OLD) movement that I started with was actually way trickier to work with. I do hope to finish the mechanical watch this Saturday and maybe even do another quartz watch. We’ll see.

    • Look on ebay for the seller watchpartsrus, they sell some pretty decent old watches cheaply. I bought an old waltham from him for $30, turns out all it needs is a cleaning and new mainspring. The videos I’m posting are of that watch. I have a couple others coming from him, including an 8-day Hebdomas pocket watch(with perfect dial) and one that’s pin-set!

Keep me posted on how Saturday goes! I look forward to reading about it.
